Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. A development of the 509 Tactical, the new 545 Tactical takes a number of features popular in today’s market and wraps them up in one package. The 545 Tactical leaves nothing to chance with a extended capacity magazine housing 18 rounds of .45 ACP, with one more in the chamber bringing total capacity to 19! A shorter 15-round magazine comes with the 545 Tactical as well, which is still more than most double-stack .45s can carry. The slide features an optic cut allowing the shooter to mount their preferred red dot within minutes. The tall tritium night sights provide the shooter with the ability to co-witness with the red dot as well as allowing for their use with a suppressor attached. The factory optic cut cover plate uniquely features a set of “ears” which protect the rear sights from fall damage for the most part. This is reminiscent of the rear sight protectors found on the Pattern 1914/1917 rifles of World War I. The 545 Tactical’s target-grade trigger breaks clean at an average of 6.0 lbs. The MIL-STD 1913 rail enables the use of a flashlight/laser. The slide lock (or stop) and magazine release button are fully ambidextrous. The magazines are nickel plated for resistance to the elements as well as reduced friction to ensure proper magazine drop and easy insertion. Like most modern pistols, the 545 Tactical features interchangeable back straps, and comes with two. The target crowned 4.71-inch barrel is threaded with a .578”x28 pitch to mount a compensator or suppressor. This is the same thread pitch used on the FNX-45s barrel. The feed ramp and chamber are polished to ensure reliability. The rifling is the standard 1:16” RH twist found in most pistols chambered for the .45 ACP. The pistol weighs around 31.0 oz. unloaded. Overall, the 545 Tactical checks off a large number of boxes for those with a list of requirements for the ultimate .45 pistol. This 545 Tactical is new in the box and comes with one each of the 15-round and 18-round magazines. Also present is an optic mounting kit as well as the manual and a soft carry case.
