Description:
With .78 cal.bore, and a, 9” plain barrel with an oxidized and pitted bore. The metal surfaces have worn to an overall gunmetal gray, the cock and frizzen are dark brown, with evenly scattered pitting on all surfaces. The ramrod thimble, triggerguard, and lockplate are constructed of brass and rate about good as lightly cleaned, showing light to moderate handling marks. The one-piece wooden walnut stock rates about good with a repaired peice front of the lock. The lock functions mechanically and the flint showers profuse sprks into the pan There is a mark on the face of the No makers mark found as wear would leave it un-readable. As with gun up to 200 years old not safe to shoot. There is a wooden ramrod present with this pistol. This gun should make a fine decorative piece , and most likely from France or England.
