This is something you never see. An ORIGINAL CIVIL WAR GENERAL OFFICER'S SHABRAQUE. Originally from the collection of Norm Flayderman, then to the collection of Famed western and Civil War artist Don Spaulding. It is pictured in the book PACKING IRON. I've owned it probably ten years. Only one i've ever seen. Fantastic condition! The blue wool is great with just a mark or two as seen in pics. The attached gold cloth stripes are in gorgeous condition. Maybe a tad soiled for being 160 years old. The gold bullion eagles are about perfect. I don't think a better original example exists.
