Description:
Dakota Model 76 .264 Winchester Magnum. An early rifle, serial 2330 was shipped with a .330 Dakota barrel (23-inch, rust blue, included). Porter's Precision Products fitted the new stainless steel Benchmark barrel (25 inches, 1/9 twist, satin finish) after machining it to the original Dakota contour so modification to the stock inletting was not required. Features include a full-length claw extractor, three-position safety, recessed bolt release lever, steel bottom metal and a tuned trigger. STOCK: The AA-grade walnut stock is dressed with 24 lines-per-inch panel checkering, steel grip cap, sling swivel studs, Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad and a satin finish. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 8.2 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.9 inches. CONDITION: The bore is strong and bright. Metal finish is at least 95 percent. Wood is approximately 95 percent with scattered instances of trace scratching and minor impressions. Trigger pull is crisp. Feeding is smooth. The original .330 Dakota bore shows scattered hints of minor roughness. The price is firm and layaway is available. Trades for fine sporting rifles (particularly customs, rimfires and dangerous game calibers) and handguns will be respectfully considered. $3,750 plus shipping.
