MEXICAN WAR H. ASTON U.S. MODEL 1842 PERCUSSION .54 CAL. SINGLE SHOT DRAGOON PISTOL DATED 1847. 15” o/a with 9” round .54 cal. smoothbore barrel proofed at breech “U.S./NWP/P”. Stock with two excellent U.S. Ordnance Inspector’s cartouches on the side panel. Lock plate stamped forward of hammer “U.S./H. ASTON”. Tail of plate stamped “MIDDtn/CONN/1847”. All original and in fine plus condition overall. Perfect working order.
