Description:
For sale is a PWS Summit Custom Build Rifle chambered in 22 Long Rifle. Volquartsen acquired the Summit Toggle Bolt Action from PWS about 6 or 7 years ago. The Summit action is a toggle bolt and has the exact same dimensions as a factory Ruger 10-22 receiver. Summit actions can be customized with the same aftermarket parts produced for 10-22's. I ordered this action from an internet vendor and had it shipped to my FFL. When I got it I added the following:
1. Stock - The stock is from the Victor Company. It was originally a butt-ugly, flat OD green so I had it professionally hydro-dipped in the 2 color snake skin pattern.
2. Barrel - The barrel is by Kidd and is their 18" lightweight fluted barrel. It has a 1/2" group size guarantee at 50 yards.
3. Trigger - Timney 10-22 Competition Trigger Group w/extended mag release. This trigger consistently breaks at 2 3/4 lbs.
4. Optics - Weaver Classic Rimfire 3-9X32 AO with an etended focal range from 10 yards to infinity. Duplex reticle. This is a Japanese made optic and is good quality. It is mounted in Leupold Rifleman rings. If you don't want the scope, deduct $200 from the cost.
This rifle is an excellent shooter. I've put about 400 - 500 rounds through it. The action is smooth and strong. It works well with low velocity ammuntition that can't be fired in a 10-22 without action cycling failures. Comes with 1 magazine. Selling off my collection due to age and medical issues. At the moment, I am not well known on Guns International but I do have 500+ ratings on GB.
