Robbins and Lawrence .28 cal Pepperbox. 3.5" barrel. Five shot. Serial No.1685. Manufactured in 1851-52 in Windsor Vermont. Barrels don't rotate, just the concealed hammer rotates. One of the BEST ORIGINALS I've ever seen. Barrel retains 95-97% ORIGINAL Brown. Frame and trigger assembly have maybe 25% of its ORIGINAL high luster fire blue. All bores have sharp rifling with a touch of frost. Fired very little. Operates perfect. Beautiful wood grips retain all ORIGINAL varnish. This one has been in my collection for years. I think these Robbins and Lawrence pepperboxs are the neatest of any made in that era. Please call 973-214-3407 with questions.
