"Serial number 171. Made in 1883. 44-40 caliber with a 25½" barrel. Very fine example of a burgess with 65% of the original blue on the barrel mixed with a plum patina. Frame is very fine with over 50% of the blue. Markings are excellent including the rampant colt on the left hand side. Stock is good as refinished. There is a repair on the right hand side of the forend.
