Up for sale is our Remington 1875 in 44-40. This gun is very sparsely marked. We believe this is an Indian Police revolver. The only markings on this gun are an "H" and an "R" at the bottom of each grip panel, "E Remington & Sons Ilion N.Y. U.S.A" on top of the barrel, "44" on the left side of the trigger guard, and "1049" under the grips.
