- Slide markings on left: "Remington Rand Inc" and "Syracuse, NY U.S.A." on two lines
- Slide top: "P" government proof mark
- Frame markings on left: "FJA" inspector's mark just below slide release, "P" proof mark by mag release
- Frame markings on right: "Ordnance Wheel" stamping top rear area, "United States Property", "M1911 A1 U.S. Army", and serial number
- Barrel marked "HS" on right side lug for High Standard who was largest supplier of barrels for Remington Rand during WW2
