CIVIL WAR ORIGINAL AMES MFG. CO. SABER BAYONET FOR THE SHARPS MODEL 1859 ARMY RIFLE. 22” yatagan blade stamped at base “AMES MFG. CO./CHICOPEE/MASS” and dated 1861. Back of brass hilt serial number stamped 40386. All original very good with old dark attic patina. Will clean up considerably. Very scarce Sharps Civil War bayonet.
