Description:
A fine 17th to 18th century flintlock long pistol overall length at 21" and the barrel is 14" long, Chisel engraving on the lockplate triggerguard, side plate and along the top of barrel has much chisel engraving. Brass crowned butt-plate has some wood loss underneath and is common as a boarding party would use this pistol to shoot the first enemy they encounter and then use the butt as a skull crusher to dispatch the next assailant. A colorful flintlock that has seen much action.
