Description:
This very rare BALLESTER MOLINA, manufactured by HAFDASA has ALL MATCHING NUMBERS; Beautiful CRISP detailed CREST, POLICIA MARITIMA (ex Coast Guard) marked. HAFDASA Stands for "Hispano Argentina Fabrica de Automoviles Sociedad Anonima. .45 ACP 5" barrel,
Prefectura Nacional Maritima, PNM (Coast Guard) was later rename POLICIA MARITIMA (Maritime or Naval Police).
Condition: This pistol comes from my personal collection.This example is in very good shape; it has MATCHING NUMBERS on FRAME, SLIDE and BARREL. It has a very Crisp well defined detailed beautiful CREST and Ballester Molina address markings. The finish seems to be original bluing done at the manufacturing time or at the time that was acquired by the Maritime Police. Finish shows imperfections, light fading, loss, thinning, discoloration, edge wear mixed with even pleasant patina, scattered few shallow freckles, aging spots, handling marks, scratches, tiny nicks, mixed with nice even patina. There are West German Commercial Proof Marks, Ulm Munich proof house on right side of the frame by trigger guard. Original sights in place. To the naked eye, the bore has good rifling, it is bright with light opaque frosting that might clean up. Tight action; appearing mechanically fine. Correct non matching numbered magazine has light edge wear, finish loss, thinning, discoloration, aging spots, handling marks-scratches. Magazine fits well, drops freely and it looks in good working order. Grips are correct and appear to be original, brown with vertical grooves with NO cracks, NO chips, NO gauges, showing a small flattened area or shallow dent on the right panel, light bruises, tiny loss of wood around some of the screws, handling marks-scratches. Discrete import marked on bottom frame by the mag well. Book pictures for reference only.
This hard to find BALLESTER MOLINA, POLICIA MARITIMA (EX COST GUARD named) marked with a beautiful detailed CREST and ALL MATCHING NUMBERS will make a very fine addition to your collection!
