Description:
R.B. Rodda 7 Co. london & Calcutta. The action is coin finish with near full coverage of open scroll and small bouquet. double triggers, auto safe, tight on the face, standing breech is clean, ejectors are strong and in time. The barrels are 27" with 2 3/4" chambers that are right on the edge of being 2 1/2", however to err on the side of caution, I call the gun out of proof. The bores are clean with the slight remnants of some cleaned fouling. The bore diameters are .736 and .735 with walls being .025 and .022 and chokes of .014 and .025 that will shoot as Imp Cyl and Mod with the diameters. The proofs are Nitro 1 1/8, 12 Ga 2 1/2" chamber and both barrels are proofed as having choke. The blue is very good as recently properly restored with a deep black color, ribs are sound. The stocks are a pistol grip butt and a splinter fore end that look to be original to the gun and are in very good condition with nice and shootable dimensions. 14" length of pull to a recent leather covered pad, 1 5/8" drop at comb, 2 1/4" drop at heel, cast is neutral.
