Description:
Winchester Over Under Super Grade 12 Gauge over 5.6X57R. I think these were sold new in Europe or built for the European market, I have never found a clear answer. The rifle cartridge is 5.6X57MM Rimmed. This cartridge was introduced by RWS in 1964 for Roebuck and Chamois hunting. This round is similar to the .220 Swift and uses a case similar in capacity to the 6mm Remington, pushing a 74 grain bullet at 36-3700 FPS which Chuck Hawks calls as the most powerful .22 Caliber cartridge made. The action is a factory coin finish with open scroll machine engraving, tight on the face and looks to have been fired very few times. There is a single trigger with the barrel selector being the safety moving side to side in the "safe" position. The barrels are 25" with nice bores on both the shotgun and the rifle, the blue is perfect and unmarred, full length solid rib with integral factory QD mounts, 30MM rings are present, folding rear sight, small bead front, top of the stippled rib is marked "Super Grade", There is one screw in choke installed in the barrel marked MOD. The stocks are in very good shape with factory original finish, 14" length of pull to a factory Winchester pad, all of the chequering is sharp, the rifle weighs 8lbs 8oz.
