Serial No. 1634, circa 1901-1908, .455 Cordite, 6"" P Webley & Son. London & Birmingham marked barrel. Finish shows 98% arsenal refinish blue with light dings and handling marks visible. Back strap is marked ""A.C. VICARY"", bore is good with frosting lining the grooves. What makes with semi auto Fosbery unique is that Lt. Col. Vicary had a horse named ""Sikh"" who would travel alongside the Col throughout the war. When the War ended the Sikh would walk all the way from Russia to England with Lt. Col. Vicary and the regiment. It is estimated that over 6 million horse where used during WWI with only 67,000 surviving to the wars end. A very unique gun with an even more unique story!
