Colt 1877 Double Action 38 Colt Lightning ejector model, blue and case color, 4 ½” Barrel, Manufactured in Hartford Connecticut in 1890 not much finish left on this one it is in working condition with tight cylinder lockup in single-action and double-action, comes with original two piece hard rubber grips and has a decent bore. This gun came from the “GEMMELL FAMILY” Frank Gemmell was the Sheriff of Columbia County WA circa 1900 Columbia County was formed in 1875 from part of Walla Walla County. He was located in Dayton WA the County Seat of Columbia County incorporated in 1881. This 1877 Colt Lightning was his personal sidearm and it was passed down through the Gemmell Family for 5 generations. We got this from the family several years ago.
