This R.B.Rodda & Co. .577-500 No.2 Black Powder Express Rifle remains in good to very good condition. The Bore has some roughness when viewed from either end but still shoots well and regulates well with the load my Consignor was shooting through it. The wood remains in excellent condition with no major dents or dings, the checkering is quite good shape. The Bluing on the barrel remains in very good condition, there is a very slight amount of pitting under the forend, but it is very very slight. The barrels have Avery slight bit of moves when the breech is closed but nothing of major concern. There is a slight bit of original colors remaining in protected areas on the receiver otherwise it has faded to a silver or coin type Color. The hammers are non rebounding type.
This is a nice example of a good unembellished Black Powder Express Double Rifle
