Description:
Early D1 boxlock gun (equivalent to f35) with extractors. Action has sharp scroll and banner engraving, rib extension with a bouqet in the oval instead of the usual Treble Wedge Fast wording. Action just gone through, tightened, and recolored by Ken Owen. Trigger bow and bottom plate have fresh reblack. Ken also made new screws, correctly engraved, heat treated and charcoal blued. Side safety charcoal blued as well. Lever is centered, side safety and strikers function correctly. Exceptionally well-figured stock, checkering recut, freshly oiled, vacant oval, 1 5/8" x 2 5/8", 14" through original horn buttplate. Small hairline crack nr top tang, old repair and not going anywhere, and a chip of missing wood was filled with epoxy. Prince of Wales grip. Restored laminated steel bbls by Keith Kearcher, BP proofed, are each .735 choked .040 (full), 30" x 2 1/2" chambers. Engraved rib bears St Mary's Square address.
