Description:
The Black Rain Ordance Fallout15 carbine is arguably one of the highest quality AR 15 production rifles built...and this one is even better than most. Unlike the current Black Rain Ordanance SPEC rifles that use stamped aluminum receivers, the Fallout15 series upper and lower receivers are CNC milled from billet 7075 aluminum. LIke most of the Fallout15 carbines, this one is chambered in .223Wylde, allowing trouble-free functioning and increased accuracy using either .223Rem or 5.56NATO ammunition. Also like most of the Fallout15 series guns, this one has a 6 position MagPul buttstock (this one upgraded to the ACS model) and MagPul pistol grip (with storage chamber). Unlike most other Fallout15 guns, this one also sports the MagPul angled foregrip. All MagPul furniture is factory finished in the Flat Dark Earth option. But the real improvements over the standard BRO Fallout15 line up are the enhanced, 16" chrome-moly spiral fluted Black Rain heavy barrel with a 1:8" twist rate for improved accuracy and, even more significantly, the Adams Arms Piston Drive System. This short stroke, free floating piston drive system is a huge improvement over the standard gas direct impingement system used by most AR style rifles (except for SIG and HK, which both use the piston drive systems in their higher end guns). The piston drive system is self cleaning and keeps carbon and gas emissions away from the operator and out of the gun's receiver, so that the BCG and receiver remain cooler and cleaner than those operating with the direct gas impingement system. Additonally, the Piston Drive System does not transfer harmonics to the barrel, providing improved accuracy and is adjustable for tuning recoil to specific bullet weights and/or suppressor use. The action is incredibly smooth and light. Other additional enhancements on this gun include: (1) A Wilson Combat single stage trigger with a 4# pull, virtually no take-up and an extremely crisp engagement; (2) A Troy Industries Claymore muzzle brake which directs flash, muzzle blast and noise forward, away from shooter while effectively reducing perceived recoil; (3) Samson Manufacturing aluminum quad-rail Midlength STAR-C-EX-P M4/M203 handguard (designed specifically to fit the Adams Arms Piston Drive gas block); (4) Yankee Hill Machine front and rear steel flip up sights; and (5) An Aimpoint Micro T-1 2 MOA red dot sight with riser. This gun is in overall excellent condition inside and out and functions flawlessly. You would be hard pressed to find a finer configured AR style rifle anywhere at any price.
