Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. The Savage Model 110 is one of the company’s most popular models and is well known in the realm of hunting rifles. As evidence of the rifle’s popularity, it is one of Savage’s longest running production rifles, having been introduced to the American public all the way back in 1958, 65 years ago. The Savage Model 110 Ultralite is the result of a collaboration between Savage and Proof Research, a company that produces very high quality rifle barrels, including those using carbon fiber in their construction. The carbon fiber wrapped stainless steel barrel and melonite skeletonized receiver minimize weight, resulting in a rifle that weighs an astonishingly low 5.8 lbs.! Even with a scope attached, the Ultralite would weigh far less than the average rifle. This would allow the hunter to more easily trek long distances with their rifle than would normally be the case. The lighter front end also means the hunter can track moving targets more easily. The bolt feature a special spiral-fluted contour. The grey synthetic stock features the AccuFit™ system, which allows hunters to set the length of pull and comb height to their liking. Length of pull can be varied between 12.75 and 13.75 inches. The stock has overmold surfaces on the fore end and the grip to ensure the hunter can keep a tight grip on their rifle when taking a shot. The trigger is the classic AccuTrigger which is user adjustable between 1.5 and 4 lbs. The 22-inch barrel is threaded at the muzzle for mounting a muzzle brake or suppressor. Rifling twist is 1 in 8 inches. The 110 Ultralite uses a three position safety. The receiver is drilled and tapped (8 40) for mounting a scope base and rings. The Ultralite has a detachable box magazine with a capacity of 4 rounds for the 6.5 Creedmoor. The 6.5 Creedmoor is one of the most popular cartridges in the US today and has been used to take a wide variety of game in North America. It provides a good blend of power and ballistics in a short package, being able to fit within the same length of action as the popular .308 Winchester. The 6.5 Creedmoor is available in bullet weights from 90 gr all the way up to 160 gr. The 140 gr bullets are the most common. The Model 110 Ultralite in 6.5 Creedmoor is an excellent rifle and with a good scope should serve its owner well. This rifle is new in the box.
