Description:
Rast and Gasser Model 1898 chambered in 8mm Gasser. 4 1/2" barrel, fixed sights, 8-shot cylinder, DA/SA, and factory grips. Mechanically the cylinder times, lock-up is tight. Finish with some light pitting as pictured. All serial numbers appear to match match. Please see photos for details. Manufactured for the Austro-Hungarian Army between 1898-1919. As pictured, releasing the trigger guard and flipping the lever releases the whole side of the pistol to give a view of the inner workings.....very neat pistol.
Overall, an unusual pistol that would make a nice addition to a WWI collection.
I have not fired this weapon. It should be checked out by a competent gunsmith prior to firing.
