Here is a unique Matched Pair of 12 gauge side by side Shotguns from Dakota Arms. The owner of this set of guns had them built for driven bird hunts in Europe. However, he chose not to fly again after 9/11. The customer customized the shotguns and added enough features, it graduated to the price point of the American Legend. The project was only the second match pair done in conjunction with Ferlib, who died after completing this project and never finished another set.The French Grey receivers are 100% engraved in the USA, just as the checkering. The stocks and forearms are Special Select English walnut hand picked by the buyer. The buyer was also able to choose his own serial numbers for this set. The barrels are 27.5 inches long with a game rib and gold bead, and each set of barrels have a set of six Briley Choke tubes. We believe the barrels are chambered in 3", but there are no markings to substantiate the fact. The round body boxlock receiver is modeled after the Browning round knob long tang design. The front trigger of the Double Trigger is capable of shooting both barrels, by pulling the trigger a second time. This feature allows the shooter to operate in either a ST or DT mode, whichever suits their preference. The stock has a length of pull of 13.25" including the 1" Kick-Eez Pad. The #1 shotgun has never been used and the #2 was used on only one hunting trip in which less than 100 rounds were fired. The guns are shipped in an Americase that was subcontracted with Dakota Arms.The price is $15,000 for the pair, plus freight and insurance. Reasonable offers considered.
