We normally ship USPS Priority Mail which should be 2-day ship. Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Description:
The 1911 WW1 is a fairly close reproduction of the original 1911 as issued during the First World War (1914-1918). Chambered for the classic .45 ACP, the pistol utilizes the original 1911 frame which includes the absence of the scallops or finger cutouts found on the 1911A1 frame (though amusingly, the frame is still marked “M1911 A1 – FS” on the right-hand side). The pistol is even built with a Type 1 smooth mainspring housing for more authenticity. The markings on the left-hand side of the slide are fairly close to the original pistol. The patent dates are accurate while the manufacturer markings are for Cimarron rather than Colt. The pistol is built Rock Island Armory for Cimarron Firearms. The bottom of the frame is marked to indicate that the pistol was manufactured in the Philippines. The 1911 WW1 uses a 5-inch standard 1911 barrel with barrel bushing compared to RIA’s more usual bushing-less, bull-barrel designs. The dust cover is rail-free which allows the pistol to fit almost any standard 1911 holster. The sights are the standard GI setup and can be adjusted for windage but not elevation. Sight radius is roughly 6 – 3/8 inches. The pistol is fitted with checkered double diamond grips. The solid, Crescent Moon trigger is set to provide a trigger pull between 4 and 6 pounds. The finish is a flat Parkerized which is much more resistant to the elements than the original bluing found on a Colt from that era. Overall, the pistol is very nice reproduction of a classic firearm, and it is much more affordable than an original, which generally starts in the low thousands and works its way up fairly quickly. This pistol is brand new in the box and comes with two 8-round magazines. According to the Cimarron , this pistol has a lifetime warranty and is Colt parts compliant.
