This gun is in original flintlock configuation and has not been reconverted.
Original Trade Pistol By Robert Wheeler of Birmingham between 1790 and 1799 when he died. About 1800 the company began marking their guns Wheeler and Son . The pistol was likely sold to the Hudson Bay Company a longtime customer of Robert Wheeler. There are holes in the stock that once held brass tacks a much favored decoration of Native American users. 
The action operates and the bore is dark.
The barrel is 9" and the bore measures .65"
