AMERICAN POSSIBLY CONFEDERATE BAYONET-DIRK AND SCABBARD. 16" overall with 11 1/2" triangular blade fashioned from a U.S. 1855 type socket bayonet. Turned one piece maple or chestnut grip. Iron ferrule and hand fashioned steel guard. Original scabbard with old stitching on reverse. Shows considerable age.
