PETERMAN PERCUSSION TARGET RIFLES, in mint condition, first one is a swivel breech 44 cal. O/U with 100% brown finish on the 29” bbls., original false muzzle which is very rare, back action locks with fancy engraved patchbox in right side of stock, 2 cap boxes in bottom of stock, engraved with floral motiff, lock is marked “D. Houghton”, bbl. marked “Peterman, Philad.”, open sights, original ramrods on both sides of the bbls., mint bores, DST. Second Target Rifle is 44 cal. with 3” oct. bbl., lightly engraved lock & is marked “A. Peterman Philad.”, perfect bore, 99% browning on bbl., 100% casehardening on lock, DST, engraved matchbox on right side of stock, cap box in bottom of stock, mint checkered wood with horn forend tip, original ramrod under bbl., open rear sight, hooded front sight. All in a 38” walnut case with green velvet lining, brass corners, numerous compartments with many accessories including; 3 original bullet molds, loading tools, mallets, screwdrivers, swadges, breech wrenches, spring vice, numerous very fancy tang peep sights with interchangeable horn eyepieces, fine powder flask.
