#1258A STEVENS MODEL 47 POPE RIFLE, 38-55, 30” heavy oct .bbl. is 1 5/16” wide at back end, marked “Stevens Pope”, bbl. #1655, code under bbl., 21 over 124, fancy burl PG stock with Schuetzen buttplate, 2 screw forend, single trigger, 2 old metal plates inletted into wrist area to reinforce against old crack, vernier tang sight & hooded pin head front sight, no provision for rear sight or scope blocks, exc. wood, 95% bbl. blue, 90% casehardening fading on frame, lever doesn’t fit quite right to the lower tang, mint bore, nice tight action. $6500
