JAPANESE WAKAZACHI WITH ORNATELY CARVED BONE SCABBARD CIRCA 1800’s. 31” o/a with 20” unsigned blade with plain temper line. Complete except the pommel cap and the end plug of the scabbard tip. Bone scabbard and hilt of type carved in China for the Japanese market. Ornate Japanese genre scenes which are very nicely relief carved and polychrome highlighting. Blade in excellent condition and scabbard very fine with no wear or breaks.
