The pistol features a single-sided thumb safety and beavertail grip safety as standard, a HD chrome barrel with a target crown for easy cleaning, a positive barrel lock-up for improved accuracy, a lowered and relieved ejection port for improved performance, and a tuned power style extractor. The traditional 70 series design is compatible with standard Colt style replacement parts, and the traditional commander hammer is lightweight for faster cycling. The rounded butt of the frame and mainspring housing provide added carry comfort, and the Novak compatible sight cuts allow for easy sight change out.
