Description:
Winchester. Model 1876. 40-60 Cal. 28" round barrel, full magazine, blued
finish, walnut stock. Has the desirable 1876 dated rear folding ladder rear
sight with original sporting front. Barrel and tube retain approximately 70-
80% of the original factory blue finish blending with a plumb patina. Left
side of frame has approximately 50% original blue with brown patina
mixed in. Right is basically the same with a little less blue. Strong elements
of color on hammer. Wood is lovely, untouched, all original and proud to
the metal, with no cracks or major chips just usual minor dings. Wood to
Metal fit is flawless. Still exhibits much of the original finish. Even the
forend cap has flashes of brilliant blue. Strong clean rifled bore and
perfect action. This is an extremely nice example of an untouched 1876 with
a high percentage of original finish that has never been messed with.
