Description:
BLOW OUT SALE PRICE  WAS $1195.. NOW REDUCED to $950 !!! This is  a very nice and above average #2 Army for the money..    Antique Smith & Wesson #2 Army. Very nice and tight Smith & Wesson #2 Army.. This is a later S/N range 70746. All matching assembly numbers and the grips are S/N to the gun also. These ran from S/N 1 to 77,155 made from 1861 to 1874 so this one probably made early 1870's. Has the standard 6” barrel in .32 Rim Fire of course. Mechanics are excellent. Crisp and tight as a new gun. Locks up tight.. Rock solid barrel to frame fit at the hinge and the latch. The barrel has NO side to side wobble like 90% of this model does. No front to rear cylinder movement and no side to side wobble like most do.. This little Smith has some nice deep blue finish remaining mostly on the frame as you can see. I would rate this frame finish at 75% including the top and bottom of the frame and the front and rear grip straps. The barrel has just traces of blue down in the upper barrel rib flute where protected. The balance of the gun is a smooth medium gray with no pitting or bad spots.. Never cleaned on or messed with. The barrel address and the patent markings on the cylinder are all excellent. The grips have a few old chips on the bottom as you can see but no cracks and are numbered to the gun as mentioned. Looks like maybe some varnish has been added long ago. The bore is very good with strong rifling with minor spots of roughness from black powder.. Nothing bad at all and no rings or bulges. The cylinder chambers show some minor roughness. This is a very nice and very tight Smith #2 that is way better than the rattly dirt brown no finish ones out there.  Yes this one is a little more money than those $600 ones but it is well worth it and is still priced reasonably. Last price reduction!!  $20 insured shipping.. Call 765-728-8049 with any questions or more photos.
