#7778, Fratelli Piotti, Gardone Val Trompia, Brescia Italy: A Bar Action Hand Detachable Sidelock Ejector Model Monte Carlo 12 Bore Made in 1981, It Remains in Excellent Original Condition, 27" Ejector Chopper Lump Demibloc barrels at .728 .009 & .020" (Imp.Cyl & Mod.), 2 3/4" chambers, KG 1,200 weight barrels, Concave top rib, Double triggers with the front articulated, Rolled trigger guard edge for the right hand, Splinter forend with a frontal Anson release, Straight hand stock at 14 11/16 x 1 9/16 x 2 3/8" over a total full face checkered butt, Slight Cast-Off for the right hand, Ideal 12 Bore game gun weight at 6 lbs. 6 oz., 85% coverage of very nice Rose and Scroll engraving by the in house engraver A. Piotti on a soft coin finished frame, It has a very nice piece of European Walnut with deep black/brown contrast, The gun is with original barrel blue at 97%, The stock and forend at 94% with very light handling marks, The checkering at 99%, The frame finish remains at 98%, The barrels inside and out are excellent plus. Cased in the makers leather cornered leather trunk. This piece was bought in Rome from the famous high grade gun dealer, Armeria E. Casciano. Casciano started in business in Rome in 1907. This action body was machined from a solid billet of steel as were the locks and forend. The barrels and stocking were all done under one roof. This is one of the lightest 12 bore Piotti's we have ever offered for sale with the great game gun weight of 6 lbs. 6 oz. Piotti is one of the leading gunmaking firms in the world. This gun will remain a treasure in the field and in the gun cabinet.
