This is the rarest variant of all the "US property" marked Colt 1903 pistols - a blued early gun with a WB proof mark in the left of the trigger guard, chambered in .32 ACP. Only about 500 were made that were so marked(by US army inspector Waldemar Broberg). This particular example is in superb original condition, retaining about 97% of its original high polished blueing with just a few spots of wear as per pictures - just a few specks/nicks of wear/discoloration here and there. The blueing is lustrous and deep with no other defects. Excellent bore and grips. Sharp proof marks. Original all blued magazine. Many of these were either assigned to OSS or to various General Officers. It is the most difficult variation of 1903 Colt for a collector to acquire.
