Description:
The Imperial Navy is one of the rarest WWI guns.
This example has been refinished but is from a very difficult year to obtain, with the Imperial Navy Crown acceptance proof (crown/M) and matching numbers (see note below) except the magazine. A WWI bring back with no import marks or post-war “GERMANY” stamp.
Serial numbered:
- on the front of the receiver
- on the bottom of the barrel
- on the bottom of the locking bolt
- on the bottom the side plate
- on the top of the trigger (under the side plate)
- on top of the safety (barely visible, almost completely removed due to refinishing)
- sear
- safety stop
Issues:
- Refinished. No straw colors remain.
- Incorrect Magazine? No concentric rings on the magazine wood plug. No Imperial Navy poof stamp.
- Last two digits of the serial number not visible on the rear toggle (seen from the rear of the pistol).
- Smooth grips. Grips are .300 thick.
