The coin finish sideplated boxlock action is engraved with game scene vignettes with supporting scrolls that the engraver "Nuovo Cesselo" signed on the right side of the trigger plate. While the left side of the trigger plate is marked "Made in Italy" over "Patented". The right sideplate is adorned with a scene of 2 pheasants in flight over a field while the left sideplate is adorned with a scene of 2 quail in flight over a field. The bottom of the action body features a portrait of a dogs head above tall grass.
