Winchester Model 1873 RIfle, Second Model, 44-40, serial #62XXX, straight grip, crescent buttplate, factory checkered 3X walnut stock and forearm, case hardened receiver, 24" octagon barrel, full magazine, original blue, case coor and wood varnish, excellent bore, a cleaning rod in the buttstock, the checkering is in perfect condition, original sights, approximately 65% barrel and magazine blue, clean screw heads except for the side plate screw, lots of vivid case color on the receiver, especially the left sideplate and on the bottom, excellent blue on the loading gate, a series of smalll burrs along ths left edge of the ocagon near the forearm and receiver, a couple on the right side, with a firearms records search.
