"Serial number 189. Made in 1872. This is a US Cavalry Model and an extremely early, Pre- Ainsworth inspected gun. This gun has an even dark gray patina. Small inspectors marks of John and Casey are throughout the gun. The US has been purposely been removed during the period of use. The Barrel has been lengthened from a shorter version. This gun comes with a Kopec letter authenticating this gun. This is one of the very earliest Cavalry known. Very rare early gun in way above average condition!
