The X-Bolt is designed from the ground up to provid the best out-of-the-box accuracy on the market. The rifle features a bedded action that allows the barrel to free-float, ensuring minimal interference with barrel harmonics to allow for repeatable accuracy shot after shot. The X-Bolt also features Browning‚‚s patented X-Lock scope mounting system that utilizes four screws per base compared to the traditional two, allowing for accurate and rock-solid attachment of optics to the receiver. A short, 60-degree throw is also incorporated, allowing for fast cycling without interfering with mounted optics.
The Mountain Pro LR series comes from Browning‚‚s \"semi-custom rifle\" line of X-Bolt rifles and is tailored for big game hunting. The stock consists of a lightweight carbon fiber design with accent graphics and a matte clear stock finish that provides additional protection for the camouflage pattern underneath. The barrel features a heavy sporting contour with spiral fluting to help reduce weight and allow for more surface area to promote faster heat dissipation, and is topped off with a durable Burnt Bronze Cerakote finish. To improve the shooting experience, the barrel also includes an installed Recoil Hawk muzzle brake that reduces recoil by up to 76%.
