Description:
This Colt Single Action Army revolver (serial #290773) was shipped from the factory with 11 other guns on April 8, 1907, to Krakauer, Zork & Moye Company, El Paso, Texas. It is as shipped, with a 4.75” barrel, hard rubber grips, blue and case, and in .38 WCF (.38-40) caliber. The Colt shows some original blue turning to patina, and you have to use your imagination to see faded case colors, but the metal surface is free of any deep pitting and the grips and screws are in good shape. It is mechanically tight with all four clicks and four notches. The bore is probably an 7 out of 10, with some shallow corrosion in spots and strong rifling. There are marks on the exterior of one chamber typically made when the gun jammed up and someone tried to force the cylinder to turn.
The holster is a vintage Mexican double loop, carved, rawhide laced, medium weight leather model in very good condition. Although numbered, it is not maker marked.
