The lightweight bolt-action, all-purpose Steyr Scout rifle was designed to accept a low power, forward mounted scope for accurate fire and both-eyes-open operation, with flip-up iron sights as a backup. With a fluted, cold-hammer forged 19 inch barrel (threaded in 1/2"X20), an overall length of 38.6 inches, and weight of 6.6 pounds, it makes for a compact rifle excelling in long outdoor treks. The synthetic stock has an integrated Bi-pod, UIT accessory rail, five sling swivel points, and matches with the lightweight receiver and extended weaver rail up top. The Safe Bolt System (SBS) has a 3 position safety for the adjustable trigger and over-sized trigger guard.
