Description:
Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are extremely proud to offer this stunning Colt Paterson decked out with highly figured walnut, gorgeous engraving, and gold bands. The number 5 was the biggest of the Patersons, with a 5 shot cylinder, .36 caliber bore, and 7 1/2 inch barrel. These were known as the Texas Paterson, with early Texas Rangers giving them legendary status with their exploits. This is the Colt that started it all. This one also features the later built in rammer, lacking on the earlier models. These special guns were made from 1998 to 2001, and those who ordered them waited months before receiving these gems. One source states that only 150 were made, and this one is number 150. One thousand of the original number 5's were made, prompting one prominent Colt collector to say "They are as hard to find as the original Patersons." The icing on the cake is that this wheel gun is nearly flawless, and the French fitted case is also very good, complete with the key. The Colt logo is still visible on the glass, although quite faded. My words have fallen upon deaf ears, but any Paterson with the correct barrel address is quite valuable, as nobody is making them anymore. These guns made during the Signature Series are especially valuable. Investors, take note: Look at the 2021 sale of one of these Patersons, and notice the paltry sum predicted for the sale versus the actual selling price. Also, that was 2 years ago, and all firearms prices have soared upward, since. If you have been looking for the right Colt Paterson to complete your collection, but you don't want to spend 90 to 120 thousand dollars, then look no further.
