Description:
This is an excellent J. P. Sauer & Sohn Model BBF 54 O/U shotgun/rifle in 16 gauge Full Choke/.243 Win. The shotgun chamber is 2 3/4 inches. It has double triggers with front set trigger, moderate engraving on coin finished receiver, Greener crossbolt with double barrel lugs. It weighs 6 lbs. The barrel is dated 11 64 and the right side of shotgun barrel says MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY. The opening lever is right of center and the lever metal has plummed. It has a brass tipped front sight and a rear sight that you manually flip up if using the rifle barrel. It has the original Sauer buttplate and the checkered walnut stock has sling swivels. The stock has several handling marks but I would still rate it 98%. I would rate the metal at 99%. The trigger guard is plastic and shows cracks under the front screw which does not seem to affect the tightness of the trigger guard.
