This is a nice, brand new example of the civilian-legal Colt Carbine, specifically the Enhanced Patrol Rifle or CR6920-EPR. It is chambered for the universal 5.56x45mm NATO round and, needless to say, will chamber and fire the .223 Remington as well. The Enhanced Patrol Rifle differs from the typical Colt Carbine in that it features a prodigious amount of non-Colt furniture and other parts. The handguard is made by Centurion Arms and features M-Lok and QD attachment points for the installation of lights, lasers, grips, and slings. The butt stock is B5 Systems’ popular SOPMOD for which the Colt-manufactured buffer tube provides 4 positions. Iron sights consist of Magpul’s MBUS Pro Series flip-up sights. The barrel of the EPR is 16.1” long and is manufactured using 4150 Chrome-moly-vanadium (CMV) steel. The bore has a 1:7 inches twist rate for stabilizing bullets ranging from the old 55gr all the way up to the very heavy 77gr types. The bore is chrome-plated which is useful for protecting the bore over long periods without cleaning should this become necessary. Regular cleaning is still recommended for any firearm. The low-profile gas block is manufactured by Colt themselves. Naturally, it is set up as a carbine length gas system. The upper and lower receivers are manufactured from aero-grade 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in a Type III Hard-coat Anodized finish to protect the EPR from the worst elements the planet has to offer. The safety selector is fully ambidextrous. Weight of the rifle while unloaded is a respectable 6.9 lbs. The EPR is certainly a fine example of the AR15 and would serve its owner well. It comes with its factory box, manual, and one Magpul PMAG 30-round magazine.
