Serial #2926 matching steel plate on the bottom of the butt, frame, lever and is stamped on the inside of each grip. These scarce revolvers were produced early in the war during 1861-1862 with only approximately 3,000 manufactured. This example is in very good+ condition overall. The metal is a pleasing smooth aged gun metal grey. Very clear barrel markings on the top "B. F. JOSLYN. / PAT'D MAY 4TH,1858.". Bore with strong rifling. Mechanics are very good, tight. Beautiful 2-piece original walnut grips with fine distinct checkering still present. These scarce Joslyn revolvers are not common to run across on today's market. .100% original and complete.
