Original grips for the early Colt 1911 Automatic Pistol in .45 ACP. These are well worn...checkering is there but a bit light in the high spots. No cracks or chips and came from a Korean War era Vet who spent over 60 years collecting Colts. These came out of a bag full of old 1911 grip panels of which I was able to put 3 sets together that weren't broken or damaged. The diamonds on the right grip are slightly larger than the left grip and may have originally come off of a Springfield Armory 1911 or a Remington UMC...in which case, you're getting a pretty scarce item. The difference is pretty subtle but for accuracy, I wanted to point this out. With all of the rebuilt 1911's on the market sporting WW2 era plastic checkered grips, these original wood panels are far fewer in number than the guns out there needing them. Most are being restocked with modern repros. These would be perfect for a well used 1911 or simply as spares for when that gun comes along some day with a bad or replaced panel. $12.00 shipping via USPS Priority Mail in Lower US 48.
