SN: 562522. Late-pattern ""trapdoor"" Springfield rifle with rod bayonet. Standard 32.625"" barrel chambered for .45-70 Government. Good to very good condition with some original blue left on the receiver, and a deep brown patina on the barrel. Bore is excellent. Wood is in great condition overall with typical handling marks, a sharp ""SWP/1893"" inspector cartouche and a rack number on the buttstock. Buttplate has been cleaned at some point and is all patina. Action and rod bayonet mechanism function correctly.
