Description:
This is a beautiful early 1871 model Cuirassiers ,or calavary in English helmet .The helmet has an intact liner , which most of this period do not. It has the long horse hair top ornameentation ,some even still braided and pulled back by a string. The ouside has some thin plate in some minor areas ,and is missing the plume holder and hafl of the chin strap. Over all this helmet is in good to above good condition. The brass madusa head is very ornate and beautiful. The edge is totally trimed in brass ,stands out well. call dan ,859-533-5445 for more pictures or questions
