"Excellent Stevens Ideal “Schuetzen Rifle" No. 51 in .32-40 with the desirable 44½ action. The overall length is approximately 48". The 30" octagon to round barrel has an excellent bore. The barrel retains approximately 98% plus original blue finish. The nicely engraved action has approximately 95% original case colors. The butt stock is fine with original factory checkering at the wrist and no chips or cracks. It has nearly all its original finish. The forend is fine with original factory checkering and finish. It is numbered to the gun. The No. 51 features double set triggers, extra fancy Swiss type checkered select wood stock with cheekpiece, large heavy Schuetzen style butt plate, and short loop lever with a two-piece wood insert. It also has an interchangeable globe front sight and a vernier tang rear peep sight. The barrel features two scope blocks. The action functions correctly. This is a great example of the scarce 44 ½ action Stevens Ideal No. 51 Schuetzen Rifle in a most desirable caliber.
