This is one of the finer examples we've encountered of a scarce, early Mauser C96 Broomhandle. Made in 1904, this is one of 20,000 produced with large ring hammer. The pistol has 97-98% of the original blue remaining, with minor wear around the stock slot, and tiny hints on other high edges. The bore shows a fair amount of use and wasn't cleaned properly many years ago as there is frost throughout. The grips are in excellent condition, and matching numbered to the pistol. They may be renumbered as the serial numbers are in a "divot" in each panel, though the font does look right. The listing comes with a mismatched stock, and the wood has been sanded. Also comes with an original harness, which is maker marked but not dated.
